My Name is Khan - Movie Review

Movie makers in Bollywood seem to have convinced themselves that the easiest way to pull-off a class-act is to make a movie on the backdrop of 9/11 and the aftermath racial crimes. The movie's intended message is certainly a worthy one. But what Karan Johar ended up accomplishing is yet another addition to his list of stereotyped trash movies.

The emabarassing performance from SRK does'nt help the movie either, although he cant be blamed much, becuase I dont think he had a clue what the heck his character was supposed to be. The lead character appears to be a masala-mix from ForrestGump, MercuryRising, RainMan and many load of movies, that Mr.Johar probably have "RESEARCH"ed before penning the script.

And just when you thought, things could not get any worse, KaranJohar chose to make a mockery of the patriotic song,"Hum Honge Kaamyab", by inserting it in the most bizzare situations -- In a church service held at a Katrina-ruined Georgia, or in a scene when American President meets the half-crack hero.(Cant help wondering what Mr.Johar was thinking, when he decided to use a song of such national importance to the people of India in this particular scene. Did he really thought that a rendezvous with the US President is indeed such an achievement, on a wider context as far as the nation and people of India are concerned...???)
